  My complaint is with the csshiers, very slow in the evenings, this store ALWAYS has long lines. But one specific cashier really made me mad, middle aged Hispanic or white guy. I was in the 15 items or less line last Friday. There were about 3 people in front of me, all buying liquor, all looked to be in their early 20s. He greeted them, was friendly with them, didn't card them, asked them if they wanted a paper or plastic bag. When it's my turn, he let's out a deep sigh, didn't say hello, never said a word. When it came down to the wine I was buying, he quickly asked for my ID, which I already had in my hand, then stared at it for at least a full minute. Gave it back to me, says " do you want a bag or what" ummm sure, I swipe my card. I look up and he gives me a handle less paper bag. When I said "I wish I had the option for paper or plastic" his response was "well you should have asked" .
  This was seriously my first time interacting with this guy, I have no idea what his problem was. I was dressed very nice but casual, didn't look like a bum. And I looked my age, late 30s, so I don't know what his problem was.

  Good grocery store in the heart of downtown Long Beach. Lines get long sometimes, but staff are good and patient. The patrons are usually the reason for the delays, not the staff. The store has a good variety of foods at expected prices.

  There is El Super, Superior and Vons in the area and Vons has all the bells and whistles. For selection, variety and availability this store has it all. It's open at 6 am and closes at midnight and features full service flowers, bakery, deli and meat departments. The produce section boasts a beautiful selection of organic fruit and veggies and a big ethnic food aisle delivers exotic flavors. The store also has a Starbucks, a fresh made-to-order sandwich counter and several other value-added services are at this store. And last but not least there is upper level parking that you enter from Atlantic Avenue in this parking congested neighborhood.

  I love this store, the checkers are friendly and many have been there for a long time. It's walking distance for most people and the parking lot on the roof was a major, major improvement over the old store. The selection is great, the produce is often less expensive than the farmers market and the prices are competitive with other stores. I prefer the meat here rather than El Super down the street.

  Very busy store. If u need an exotic item they probably have it but good luck trying to move around in the store. Very crowded and narrow aisles. Store staff never around if u have a question.
  Have to ask for bathroom code and good luck finding an employee who will stop to give it to u.
  The Starbucks has major ISSUES at this store. They have gone through staff bc they r very rude to customers and I have reported it constantly. Unless it's the manager or one of the long-term employees the drinks r never made right. It's hit and miss. The younger staff talk to the security guard esp the girls instead of helping customers so u can wait in line for 15 minutes it more w no one there ahead if u. It's ridiculous.
